6 Reasons to Go Green
Going green is becoming quite a popular phrase these days as the global environmental consciousness is on the rise.  For those who may be on the fence about going green, the post highlights 6 sound reasons to go green.  Improving dietary choices, protecting the environment, and safeguarding your home are just a few reasons to increase your own eco-consciousness.

Gluten Free Recipe of the Month: Kale Sausage Risotto
This month, Mum Mum’s provides a gluten free recipe that is a hearty, nutritious, and warming meal just in time for fall.  Utilizing a blend of wild and brown rice, the recipe is not only free of gluten, but also free of most common allergens including dairy.  The recipe is an adaptation of an original recipe from the Allergy Self Help Cookbook, by Marjorie Hurt Jones, RN.

UW Study Finds Experience may be the Best Teacher for Infants
Experience is the best teacher, and a new study proves this to be true even for infants.  The post explains that researchers from the University of Washington found that with hands-on interaction as well as observation, 10 month old infants were able to use a cane to grasp an out of reach toy.  While all the infant groups in the study observed researchers completing the task of toy reaching with a cane, the group that faired the best was the group who had training and attempted to use the cane themselves.  The results of the study provide exciting insight for child development as it found simple observation is not enough for babies to fully understand another’s behavior.
