With all the potentially dangerous chemicals now lurking in places one would least expect, it can be tough to find products mothers feel good about using. According to the Environmental Working Group, the average woman uses about 12 personal care products laden with approximately 168 chemicals. Many of the chemicals found in personal care products are viewed as potentially harmful by several government agencies.
A new product in the press today, entitled Organoderm, is both USDA and Circle of Green Certified Organic. The Circle of Green certification promises that no chemicals are used in the formulations while the USDA Organic label confirms no synthetic preservatives are used.
The skin care line was development by physician Dr. Edward Domanskis who states that although meeting the strict criteria of both certifying agencies was challenging, providing safe, quality products was of utmost importance. Organoderm is available only through the internet but prices are very reasonable, with products ranging from $12 – $42. In addition, Organoderm donates 10% of all proceeds to cancer research.
About Circle of Green

On February 22, the FDA issued letters relating to labelling to 22 food companies, including several baby food manufacturers. We were advised by the FDA that we are not permitted to print the statements "Low in Fat" or "No added fat or oils" on our Baby Mum-Mum packaging.
Although these statements are true and each serving of Baby Mum-Mum does not contain any fat, the FDA has brought to our attention that these claims are technically not allowed on our packaging solely because the product is intended for consumption by infants and children under 4 years of age.
In the future, these claims will be removed from our packaging.
